Thanks to the generosity of donors and the support of the Student Veterans Association at BU, Charlie was able to make a smooth transition, not just from a financial perspective but also into the final phase of his journey to becoming a college graduate.

BU’s Office of Veterans Affairs works closely with the BU Foundation to create housing scholarships for transfer students and students in the armed services, thanks to generous gifts from donors.

Without that support, the process of transferring to a new school, and making sure he could complete his requirements for his degree in Criminal Justice on time and go on to accomplish his goal of joining the police academy next spring would have been much more stressful for Charlie.
