Lizmeidy "Liz" Hernandez '20 benefited greatly from Donor Support during her time here at BU. From scholarships, to professional experience grants (PEGs) that provided her the opportunity to study abroad on two separate occasions, she knows firsthand how donor support can change the course of a student's education and their goals and aspirations.

She also benefited from sharing how that support helped her by being inspired to encourage others to provide support too. In 2019, as a junior, Liz helped the BU Foundation generate support for the Bloom On Fund by taking part in this video to share with alumni how many small gifts can make a big impact:

Then in 2021, she helped by coming back to campus to appear in another video to generate participation among young alumni:

Since graduation Liz has also been a loyal donor, not missing her chance to give back, because she knows how much of a difference that support makes to the students who receive it. For her, it was the support she received from donors that broadened her view of what she could achieve as student and eventually led to her enrolling in the Physician Assistant Studies Program at Salus University!

Liz was excited to share the new of her graduation from Salus and achieving her goals with the Foundation and wanted us to let her donors and the entire BU community know how much she appreciated what her donors and the Entire BU Community have pushed her accomplish. She is looking forward to continuing to support her fellow Huskies to help make more dreams like hers come true.
